Tabla: Fifteen Endings for Drut Tintaal Section

I wanted to get better at playing drut tintaal ending tehais for when I am playing with instrumentalists–accompanying them on tabla. This was inspired by playing with my friend Sonny, who plays bansuri–and we often play a vigorous and lively drut tintaal section.
The drut tintaal is ramping up in speed and intensity, and now the instrumentalist needs to give the grand finale to the raag with an ending tehai. The tabla player needs to follow their lead and match their rhythms.

How many different endings tehais are there for this scenario? It seems there are a lot of options actually!

I chose 15 endings from youtube recordings I found online. I chose these based on trying to represent a variety of rhythm, variety of instrument, and complexity of tehais.

These tehai transcriptions are for practice by tabla players via playing along with the recordings. I transcribed the rhythms of these ending tehais–not necessarily what the tabla was playing, but rather the rhythm of the melodic instrument translated into common tabla bols.

In this way the tabla player can practice these rhythms along with these recordings. Each transcribed passage has a time-marked youtube link that starts exactly one minute before the transcribed tehai. So, the tabla player can practice drut tintaal theka in the lead-up to the final tehai in the transcription.

I would suggest a 2-window set-up like this on your computer–so you can view the transcription while listening to the audio. The selections are ordered from easier to more difficult.

Enjoy! I hope that someone can get any amount of joy and learning from this small project.

Here are two options for the transcriptions.

Here is a link to the googledoc, in which the links should open in a new tab:

Here is a PDF of the document, for saving, but the links do not seem to open in new tab, but in the same tab as document:
